This larger than average school serves a relatively deprived, multi-cultural area in Harrow. A high proportion of pupils are eligible for free school meals. Most pupils are from minority ethnic backgrounds and one in four is at an early stage of learning English. An above average percentage of pupils has learning difficulties or disabilities. The attainment on entry is below average overall. A considerable number of pupils join or leave during the school year. Several of these are asylum seekers or refugees.
