Koolkidz was registered in 2007 and operates from a specific nursery building within the grounds of Parkfield School. The group serves the local community and offers both nursery and out of school provision. It operates from Monday to Friday throughout the year except for Bank holidays. It is open between the hours of 08:00 until 18:00. The children share an enclosed outdoor area with the nursery school class. There are currently 50 children on roll, aged from three to under eight years. The admission policy allows children up to the age of 11 years to attend and they attend for a variety of sessions. The group supports children who speak English as an additional language and children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The group currently has eight members of staff who work with the children and they are supported by a pool of casual staff. Of these, most hold relevant childcare qualifications. The nursery receives the support of an advisory teacher.
