Ofsted inspections

Ever wondered how many outstanding schools there are? Well, in England on 2nd October there were:

  • 3127 Outstanding schools
  • 9966 Good schools
  • 6113 Satisfactory schools
  • 490 Inadequate schools

New Academies and Ofsted reports

All of the new academies opened this year are now available in Find My School. Most of these academies haven’t been inspected yet, but we’ll have the reports as soon as they are.

Use our school data on your site

If so, you should look at the free school data API that we have just published. It allows any website to use Find My School data.

New feature: Parent reviews

Due to pupular demand we have added an exciting new feature to Find My School. You can now submit your own reviews and ratings. To do this, search for the school or nursery you are connected with, then click on the “Parent reviews” tab near the bottom of the page. You can then log in and submit your review.

School Report Cards update

The official government “School Report Card” scheme came one step closer to reality last week, with the publication of this this document.

The document outlines the concept of a “single overall grade” for schools, based on a combination of inspection reports and test results.

School Report Cards

Last October the Secretary of State announced his intention to improve how schools’ performance is reported to parents. This improvement is to take the form of a school “report card”, that comprises all of the information a parent would find useful when choosing a school.

The Government is inviting feedback on this initiative and there is only one month left for you to have your say. You can view the consultation document and submit your feedback here.

Edit your school or nursery details

Oftsed website upgrade

Thousands of school websites will need to be changed following Ofsted’s website upgrade today.

The inspection body has changed the way Ofsted reports are accessed. This means that any web page that links to the Ofsted website will have to be changed to reflect this.
